Efforts to connect the cultural heritage of villages: Malvinder Singh Kang

Morinda, July 14: As part of the efforts to connect the heritage and culture of villages with today’s generation, the inauguration ceremony of author Sarabjit Singh Dumna’s book ‘Mera Rangla Pind Dumna’ was organized at NH-95 Morinda.

The event was presided over by Dr. Sarabjit Singh (Head, Punjabi Department, Panjab University, Chandigarh), while Malvinder Singh Kang (Member of Parliament) and special guest Colonel Gurmeet Singh were present as the chief guests.

Highlighting the relevance of the book, Malvinder Singh Kang said that this book is a means of connecting us with our roots and the identity of our villages. He appealed that we should also bring our children towards reading culture.

Dr. Sarabjit Singh said in his address that books written about villages become historical documents for the coming generation. Sarabjit Dumna’s efforts to give a new color to his village are commendable.

Colonel Gurmeet Singh said that these events create a new enthusiasm and unity among the villagers.

Literary writer Rabinder Singh Rabbi appreciated the tireless work done behind the book and thanked the villagers for their cooperation. Sarabjit Singh Dumna said that he tried to preserve the memories, people and history of his village through the pen.

Journalist Jai Singh Chhibber spoke specifically about the authenticity and informativeness of the book. Jagir Singh Dumna said that this book will increase the glory of the village.

On this occasion, Sarabjit Singh Dumna and Rabinder Singh Rabbi were also honored by the villagers.
