GSSS Ghanauli Students Explore Cement Manufacturing at Ambuja
Rupnagar 18, February : A successful exposure visit was organized by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), PRBO, to Ambuja Cement, Daburji, Ropar, Punjab. The visit was attended by 25 students and 3 teachers from the Standard Club Members of Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS), Ghanauli, District Ropar, Punjab.
During the visit, the students and teachers were given a comprehensive overview of the entire manufacturing process of cement, including the production of different grades. The visitors were taken through the various stages of cement production, from raw material extraction to the final product.
The visitors were also familiarized with the different laboratory tests conducted to maintain the standards prescribed by BIS. The laboratory tests demonstrated the importance of quality control in ensuring that the cement produced meets the required standards.
The exposure visit provided the students with hands-on experience and insight into the cement manufacturing process. It highlighted the importance of standardization and quality control in the industry. The visit was an enriching experience for the participants, and they expressed their gratitude to BIS, PRBO, and Ambuja Cement for organizing the visit.
