The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, has launched an initiative under the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) to engage youth in awareness and outreach activities for cleaner air. This initiative will be implemented through the MY Bharat platform, which was introduced by the Hon’ble Prime Minister to empower young citizens aged *15-29* years to contribute towards building a “Viksit Bharat.”
As per the official communication, schools are instructed to actively involve students aged *15 years and above* by encouraging them to register on the MY Bharat portal. The portal serves as a medium to connect youth with various awareness programmes and outreach activities related to clean air initiatives in their respective cities.
Key Directions to Schools:
1. All schools must ensure that students aged 15 and above are made aware of the MY Bharat platform.
2. The registration of the maximum number of students on this platform should be completed at the earliest.
3. District-wise data of registered students must be compiled and sent to the headquarters.
4. Further information regarding data submission will be collected later through an online form.
Since the programme is mandatory for all schools, it is requested that the heads of institutions take immediate steps to complete the student registration process without delay. This initiative not only contributes to the success of the NCAP but also provides youth with an opportunity to actively participate in environmental protection and nation-building.
