Rupnagar Students Shine in Merit List, 9 Toppers Bring Glory to the District
Rupnagar, April 11: Students from Rupnagar district delivered an outstanding performance in the Class 8 results by the Punjab School Education Board, securing a strong presence in the state merit list. A total of 9 meritorious students from the district have earned positions in the merit list, bringing pride to their families, schools, and the entire region.

Navroop Rajpal from Government High School, Saskaur emerged as the top performer from the district by scoring 596 marks (99.33%). Following this,

Poorvi Dhiman (Government High School, Barwa) secured 589 marks (98.17%), while Janvi from BJS Public School, Samundarian scored 588 marks (98.00%), showcasing remarkable achievement.


Samar from HDN Senior Secondary School, Bhanopli also secured 588 marks (98.00%) and earned a place in the merit list. Meanwhile, Damanpreet Singh (Government Senior Secondary School, Chanoli Bassi) and Mohan (Samundarian) scored 586 marks (97.67%) each.
Other achievers include Ishika Chaudhary

(Bhanopli) with 585 marks (97.50%), and Manpreet Kaur (Passiwal, Nangal) along with Diksha (Samundarian), both scoring 584 marks (97.33%), further highlighting the district’s academic excellence.
On this occasion, District Education Officer (Secondary) Mr. Prem Kumar Mittal congratulated the students and said that this achievement is the result of students’ hard work, teachers’ dedication, and continuous support from parents. He added that Rupnagar students have consistently created a distinct identity in the field of education, and these results reaffirm that legacy.
