Rupnagar, April 9, 2026:Under the guidance of District Education Officer Mr. Prem Kumar Mittal and as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan led by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, a Poster Making Competition was organized at Government Senior Secondary School Salempur, Government Senior Secondary School Makrauna Kalan and GMS Manemajra to spread awareness among students against drug abuse.
Students actively participated in the competition and expressed their ideas through creative posters promoting a drug-free society. The students who secured first, second, and third positions were awarded certificates for their excellent performance.
Mr. Prabhjeet Singh, Guidance Counsellor, Rupnagar, attended the program. At Government Senior Secondary School, Salempur, the event was conducted in the presence of Principal Mr. Pawan Kumar, School Guidance Counsellor Mr. Simarjot Singh and Sh Sanjeev Attri ,Sh Rajiv Kumar ,Smt Seema Nayar,S Kultar Singh,S Rajbir Singh,Smt Harpreet Kaur,Smt Madhuri Mittal,Smt Anuradha Rai,Smt Ramanpreet Kaur,Smt Harpreet Kaur(Librarian),Smt Gurinder Kaur ,Smt Narinder Kaur were present at that time
At Government Senior Secondary School, Makrauna Kalan the program was organized by Mr. Balwant Singh School Principal ,Mr. Randhir Singh, Mrs. Rajwant Kaur, Dr. Manpreet Kaur, Mrs. Pardeep Kaur and Mr. Gurdeep Singh At Government Middle School Manemajra program was organised by Mrs Harpal Kaur School incharge, Mr. Sarabjeet Singh, Mrs Sukhdeep Kaur, Mrs Gurjinder Kaur. Students showed great enthusiasm and participated wholeheartedly. The program was conducted under the supervision of the District Education Officer and the District Social Security Officer.
The event successfully spread awareness among students about the harmful effects of drugs and encouraged them to adopt a healthy and responsible lifestyle.
