Students were made aware about 'Immediate Action Drill' to avoid bomb blasts and nuclear attacks nurpurbedi , Dharminder Kumar

 Under the directions of Education Department Punjab and orders of District Education Officer (Secondary) Rupnagar, students of Govt. Senior Secondary Smart School (Boys) Nurpurbedi today were made aware about the history of the devastation of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the negative effects caused by this war across the world.

  During the awareness program organized under the leadership of school principal Madam Sonia, retired naval officer and school guidance counselor Dharamender Kumar told the children that on 6th August and 9th August 1945, America had dropped two atomic bombs on two cities of Japan.

    Due to which millions of people lost their lives. He said that these bombs are still having an adverse effect on the health of the people there. Apart from the negative effects of the said war, he also provided the children important information about ‘Immediate Action Drill’ to avoid the ‘shock waves’ in case of a bomb explosion or nuclear attack. On this occasion, Principal Madam Sonia said that it is very important to make the children aware of all kinds of situations and more such information will be provided to the children in future as well.

       On this occasion, apart from Madam Sonia, Guidance Counselor Dharminder Kumar, Arjun Singh and Ranjeet Singh Bhattal, Rohit Kumar Sharma along with other school staff and a large number of students were present.
