Rupnagar, October 28, — A one-day Career Guidance and Counselling Meet 2025 was successfully organized at Lamrin Tech Skills University, Rupnagar. The event aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of school guidance counsellors in providing effective career counselling to students.
The workshop was organized under the guidance of Mr. Prem Kumar Mittal, District Education Officer (SE), Rupnagar, and was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including S. Nirmal Singh Rayat, Hon’ble Chancellor; Prof. (Dr.) A.S. Chawla, Vice Chancellor; Prof. B.S. Satyal, Registrar; and Mr. Vimal Manhotra, CEO, Lamrin Tech Skills University.
The resource persons for the event were Mr. Prabhjeet Singh, District Guidance Counsellor, and Dr. Jasvir Singh, Guidance Counsellor from the DC Office, Rupnagar, who shared valuable insights on student guidance, career mapping, and counselling techniques.
Special appreciation was extended to Dr. Navneet Chopra and her team for their excellent arrangements and warm hospitality. A total of 114 schools from the district actively participated in this meet, highlighting the growing commitment towards career-oriented education.
During the session, Mr. Baljinder Singh, Guidance Counsellor from GSSS Phoolpur Grewal, shared the best practices of his school and discussed innovative approaches to effective student counselling.
The workshop concluded with an interactive session that encouraged sharing of experiences and best practices among school counsellors, marking the event as a significant step toward empowering students for a brighter future.
