Environmental Education Workshop Held at Government Girls Senior Secondary School Sri Anandpur Sahib, GIRL SCHOOL APS, GIRL SCHOOL SRI ANANDPUR SAHIB

Sri Anandpur Sahib, February 17: A two-day Environmental Education Workshop was successfully organized at the Government Girls Senior Secondary School Sri Anandpur Sahib under the guidelines of the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology. The workshop aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage students to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.

School Principal Neeraj Kumar Verma informed that students actively participated in creative activities using waste materials. They prepared various useful items, especially cloth bags made from leftover fabric, highlighting the importance of reducing plastic use. He emphasized that plastic pollution is a serious threat to the environment and human health and motivated students to use sustainable alternatives.
On this occasion, Jaswinder Kaur, Art and Craft Teacher from Government Senior Secondary School Dher, served as the Resource Person. She provided practical training to students on making cloth bags from waste clothes and explained how such initiatives can help reduce dependence on polythene bags and protect the environment.
Students showed great enthusiasm and learned valuable skills related to recycling and reuse of waste materials. The school administration appreciated the active participation of students and expressed hope that such programs will inspire them to contribute towards environmental conservation and sustainable living.
