STEM Workshop Organised at Rupnagar, 250 Students Participated
A one-day STEM Workshop was successfully organised at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Rupnagar, with the objective of promoting scientific temper, innovation, and experiential learning among students.
The workshop featured eminent resource persons including Mr. Foran Chand, Mr. Ajay Sharma (Project Associate, CSIR-NIScPR, New Delhi), Dr. Pushpanjali Tripathy (Principal Scientist, CSIR-NIScPR, New Delhi) and Dr. Mukesh Kumar (Associate Professor, Department of Physics, IIT Rupnagar). The experts delivered insightful sessions and conducted hands-on activities that highly engaged the students.
The programme was efficiently organised by lMr. Prabhjeet Singh, while Mrs. Javtinder Kaur conducted the programme as the anchor. Mr. Lokesh Mohan Sharma graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Distinguished guests present on the occasion included Mr. Prem Kumar Mittal, District Education Officer (SE), DRC Rupnagar Vipin Kataria and Mrs. Sandeep Kaur, Principal, GGSSS Rupnagar.
Dr. Manpreet Kaur and Mrs. Maya managed the registration process, while Mr. Sanjeev Kumar and Mr. Satnam Singh efficiently handled the refreshment arrangements.
A total of 250 students participated in the workshop. STEM kits were distributed to students to encourage practical learning, and certificates were awarded to both students and teachers for their active participation. Proper arrangements for breakfast and lunch were made for all participants.
The workshop concluded successfully, leaving students motivated to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics with curiosity and confidence.
