Rupnagar, 9 February: Under Mission Samarth 4.0, the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Punjab organised a one-day training workshop for Principals and School In-charges of Senior Secondary Schools of the district at Block DIET, Rupnagar.
The training programme was conducted under the leadership of District Education Officer Shri Prem Kumar Mittal and the guidance of DIET Principal Smt. Monika Bhutani.

Addressing the gathering, District Education Officer Shri Prem Kumar Mittal stated that the main objective of Mission Samarth 4.0 is to strengthen academic quality in schools and make school administration more effective. He emphasized the need for student-centric education, result-oriented planning, and continuous academic improvement.

DIET Principal Smt. Monika Bhutani, while speaking on the occasion, highlighted the importance of such training programmes in enhancing the academic and administrative capabilities of school heads. She stressed the adoption of innovative teaching-learning practices, collaborative efforts among teachers, and the creation of a positive learning environment in schools.

During the workshop, the District Resource Coordinator (DRC) provided detailed insights into the framework, implementation strategy, and monitoring mechanisms of Mission Samarth 4.0. Practical guidelines were shared to help schools achieve academic targets in a systematic manner.

The training sessions were conducted by state and district-level trained BRCs (Upper Primary) and Resource Persons, who delivered subject-wise presentations and hands-on activities for effective implementation at the school level.
On this occasion, four schools of the district were honoured as “Samarth Schools” for their outstanding performance during Mission Samarth 3.0. These schools included PM SHRI Kahanpur Khoohi, Government Senior Secondary School Salempur, Government High School Jindwari, and Government Middle School Bhojemajra.

Additionally, for their significant contribution towards the effective implementation of Mission Samarth 4.0, Shri Vipin Kataria (District Resource Coordinator) and KRP Smt. Chhavi (English Mistress, Government Middle School Blan Kalan) were honoured by DIET Principal Smt. Monika Bhutani and District Education Officer Shri Prem Kumar Mittal.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to all resource persons, officials, and participating school heads, along with an assurance that such academic initiatives will continue in the future to strengthen the education system.
